Making STEM Fun Again, One Topic At a Time.

To face an unpredictable world, every child will need to be able to identify and solve problems as they grow up. Through STEMWerkz, we aim to equip children with the ability to ask the right questions, define problems, and design solutions.

STEMWerkz is our award-winning learning platform for children aged 5 to 12, helping your child develop core skills through engaging interactive media. Browse through our library of over 1,000 interactive lessons and games, built around nurturing the thoughts and practices of scientists and engineers.

STEMWERKZ Learning Stories suit any curriculum. Worldwide.

Our lessons provide top-notch STEM Learning experiences to empower young learners with the tools they need to investigate, discover, and understand the world around them. The rich repertoire of learning stories in STEMWerkz will fit most learning outcomes and curriculum standards, regardless of which part of the world your child is attending school. Our mix of lesson materials, content, and quizzes encourages them to explore the world they live in.

Here are some examples of how STEMWerkz fits with some international curricula:

Powerful Parent Management

Interaction of Forces

Effects of friction

This is an interactive video in which students design an experiment to find out about the effects of opposing force (air resistance).

Friction On Different Materials.
This lesson focuses on describing the effects of frictional force on different objects. Teaching how other factors like surface material increase or decrease friction.

Does Height Affect Gravity?
This is an interactive learning object where students identify that gravity is a constant force, and applies regardless of how high up he or she is.

Learn More About Projectiles.
This is a learning object that highlights how projectiles travel and why objects in midair motion arc downwards towards the earth because of gravity.

Why Do Things Fall?
This section introduces and helps students become aware of gravity, and the effects it has on our day to day lives.

Making an object move down a ramp faster.

This lesson highlights how students can manipulate different material surfaces, angles among other factors to increase or decrease the effect of frictional force.

Interaction of Forces

Magnitude of force acting on objects

This interactive learning object illustrates how the extension of spring increases proportionally with weight.

Does height affect gravity?

This is an interactive learning object which explains the effect between the distance and the amount of gravitational force acting on an object shown on a line graph and bar graph.

Exploring effects of forces

This is an interactive learning object where students identify the effects of force in the given scenario.

Forces in action

This is a learning object which shows how two or more forces acting on an object will affect the task that its carrying out e.g. direction of movement changes. of force in the given scenario.

Effects of friction

This is an interactive video in which students design an experiment to find out about the effects of opposing force (air resistance).

Effects of friction

This is an interactive learning object where students identify the direction in which different types of forces are acting on various objects.

Core Disciplines

Forces and motion, PS2.A:

Each force acts on one particular object and has both strength and direction. The patterns of an object’s motion in various situations can be observed and measured; when that past motion exhibits a regular pattern, future motion can be predicted from it.

Types of interactions, PS2.B:

Objects in contact exert forces on one another. Electric and Magnetic forces between a pair of objects do not require that the objects be in contact. The sizes of the forces in each situation depends on the properties of the objects and their distances apart.

Interaction of Forces

Observe the effects of forces
This is an interactive learning object where students identify the type of force and its effects in the given scenario.

Magnitude of force acting on objects
This interactive learning object illustrates how the extension of spring increases proportionally with weight.

Friction: Useful or harmful? Part 1
This is an interactive learning object which explains about frictional force and how it can affect us in positive and negative ways.

Forces in our daily lives
This is an interactive learning object where students explore and identify the different types of forces (contact and non-contact) in daily activities.

Using magnets to move toy cars
This is an interactive learning object where students apply the characteristic of magnets to solve the given problem.

Interaction of Forces

What Is A Force?
This interactive learning lesson introduces students to forces and how to identify them in their daily lives.

Is it A Push Or Pull? Part 1.
This lesson now helps students to learn and better understand the nature of forces, dividing them into either pushing forces, or pulling forces.

Is It A Push Or Pull? Part 2.
The lesson here expands upon previous content and helps students to identify “Push” and “Pull” forces, and how they are used in day-to-day life.

Observe The Effects Of Forces.
Lessons broaden their scope and introduces concepts like the effects of forces on objects. This helps students to understand that there’s always a force on an object in motion.

Will it attract or repel?
This is an interactive learning object where students explore the orientations and arrangement of magnets to find out if they attract or repel.

Using a magnet to identify magnetic and non-magnetic materials
This is an interactive video where students identify if the given material is magnetic and how this can be used to separate magnetic objects from non-magnetic objects.

Which materials can be magnetized?
This is an interactive video where students learn about the different methods and materials that can be used to make magnets.

Identify the correct poles of a magnet
This is an interactive learning object where students explore the interactions of magnets to determine unknown poles.

Compass and magnets part 1
This is an interactive learning object where students explore the interaction between a compass and a magnet.

Carry out a test to find out the poles of magnets!
This is an interactive learning object where students observe the interactions of magnets with unknown poles. Based on the interactions, they will determine the poles of the magnets.
